The Position
Due to an ever-expanding client base we are currently looking for another with a positive attitude to join us, challenge us, learn with us, laugh with us and occasionally shed a tear with us. We have all the usual ‘toys’ and we are open to acquiring more as needed.

We are looking for an experienced qualified veterinary surgeon (5 years +), with solid surgical skills who is confident to be in sole charge to join our family run, small but beautiful practice. This is on a full or part-time basis, Monday to Friday with no out of hours or on call.

The salary we’re offering is £50,000- £70,000 pro rata and dependent on experience and specialisms.

Requirements:

  • 5 years + qualified
  • Solid Surgical skills

Registered Veterinary Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our close-knit nursing team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RVN to join us .

  • The role will be full time or part time
  • Working hours will be a shift pattern between 8am-7pm
  • No OOH
  • Previous experience working in a small animal practice is essential
  • Recent graduates welcomed

Veterinary Receptionist

Having been open for 35 years and as we continue to grow and expand we are recruiting another part time veterinary receptionist.
The role is part time (26 hours)
As a receptionist you will provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to our clients and their animals whilst working well within the veterinary team. Experience within the veterinary profession and dealing with the public are essential for this role.

Main duties would include:

  • Greeting and welcoming clients and their companions.
  • Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests.
  • Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking payments and dealing with enquiries.
  • Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system, so good IT skills are essential.
  • Cleaning duties are involved.
  • Other administrative roles e.g. booster reminders.

Building trusted relationships with our clients and ensuring that we are easy to do business with is key – we know clients have a choice within the local area and we want to be the experts they trust and turn to every time. We have been doing our job successfully for many years but can always get better about shouting about this! We want you to use your passion for marketing to help us share our passion for what we do…

The role is diverse, so it is essential applicants are good at managing lots of different tasks and are prepared to take on challenges.

The applicant should also be confident dealing with customers via email, on the phone and in person, have a good understanding of business administration and also be prepared to muck in with other jobs during busy times, such as admin or reception duties.
